United in Prayer for Our Young Church

"Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full." John 16:24

The youth ministry team would like to invite you to offer up prayers for our youth, families, and ministry activities! Nothing is accomplished outside the work of the Holy Spirit, and we want to entrust our youth and families to the Spirit's protection, guidance, and inspirations.

This month's prayer requests include:

  1. For the youth and families of our parish to experience a renewed relationship with Jesus Christ

  1. In gratitude for the adult and young adult Core Members who generously serve our young church as mentors and catechists

  1. For all youth experiencing mental illness and their families

  1. For increased devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist throughout our parish

  1. For the youth in our area who feel far from God

Prayer Leader Wanted: If you feel called to lead others in prayer for our youth in a more consistent way, please contact us. This prayer leader would be supported in organizing the occasional intercessory prayer session (e.g. adoration, rosary) for others to join. Let us know by contacting 210-494-1959.

Thank you for offering this spiritual support to our young church. Prayer is powerful and your quiet ministry of intercession will bear tremendous fruit for the kingdom. Inspired by these words from Pope Benedict XVI, may we always begin with prayer: "Jesus preached by day, by night He prayed... Jesus had to acquire disciples from God. The same is always true. We ourselves cannot gather men. We must acquire them by God for God. All methods are empty without the foundation of prayer.”
