Spring Retreat
Where: HEB Camp/Echo Valley in Leakey

$85 Early bird discount if paid by February 13th
Scholarship request deadline is February 14th. (partial or full)
(Finances should never keep someone from attending a retreat)
All teens need to arrive at St. Mark’s New Legacy room at 6:00 pm on Friday, March 10th for check-in. Parents please come into New Legacy with your teen in case we need information from you. The chartered buses will leave promptly at 6:30 pm. Please make sure your teen’s belongings are all marked, as we are NOT responsible for any item that may be lost. Please feed your teen or bring their dinner with them.
Meet us upon our return from retreat at the 5:00 pm Mass on Sunday, March 12th, in the Main Sanctuary. All teens are required to attend Sunday Mass and may leave once we have attended Mass together and everything is cleaned up in New Legacy from the retreat.
Parents, we will need your help unloading the bus and putting away and organizing retreat items around 4:30 pm in New Legacy.

What to bring: Sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag, pillows, towels, personal items and casual, modest camping clothes. You may want to bring a bible or spiritual reading and a rosary. The church cannot be responsible for any personal items brought to the retreat.
Please label all your personal items!
What not to bring? iPods, mp3 players, laptops and game players!

Parents Information
We need about 16 parents to help with registration on March 10th starting at 5:30 pm. We also need parents who will help us unload when we return from the retreat, help organize, and put away retreat stuff. Please email or call us if you can help.
Packing List for Youth on Retreat
- Snack to share (like a package of cookies, bag of fruit or their favorite snack)
- Sheets & blanket or sleeping bag (we will be sleeping in cabins)
- Pillow
- Towels & toiletries, flip-flops for shower
- Casual modest clothes and closed toe shoes (tennis shoes) and jeans. It will most likely be cold at night so bring a jacket.
- Bible
- Swimsuit and extra towels if they swim. We will only swim if we have a certified Life Guard on duty.
What NOT to bring
- iPod
- laptop or notebook
- short shorts or super mini skirts
- sleeveless shirts
- alcohol, guns, explosive devices, tobacco
Medicine
If you are taking any type of medicine, we will have a nurse at registration. On Friday at registration, you must turn in all medicine in a zip-loc bag with your name on it and the dosage information printed on an index card inside. ALL MEDICINES MUST BE PICKED UP FROM THE NURSE ON SUNDAY OR THEY WILL BE THROWN AWAY.
Emergency Numbers
The emergency numbers at HEB Camp are 830-258-5680 and 830-258-5624.
There is no cell phone service at the camp. Therefore your child cannot contact you unless there is an emergency. Of course, if there is an emergency at home you may call the numbers above.
Return to St Mark
Please join us for our return Mass at 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 12th. The retreat is not over until AFTER MASS on Sunday.
Before You Go Home Checklist
- Pickup any medicine from the nurse that was previously turned in.
- Pickup your luggage from St Mark church.
- Please help make sure that New Legacy is cleaned up and supplies are put away.
